The Ambassador Program

Since the launch of the Ambassador program in 2020, Peace First has mobilized more than 120 young people from over 40 countries. These inaugural Ambassadors have been critical in helping young people access changemaking resources and launch their community-based social change projects.

The Peace First Ambassadors Program is not just an opportunity; it’s an eight-month transformative journey for emerging social change leaders. By joining us, you will embark on a path of growth and empowerment, enhancing your changemaking skills by receiving professional development and guidance to make a real difference in the world.

The Ambassadors are based in their countries of residence to help drive Peace First’s program efforts locally. Since the launch of the Ambassador program in 2020, Peace First has mobilized more than 120 young people from over 40 countries. These inaugural Ambassadors have been critical in helping young people access changemaking resources and launch their community-based social change projects.

Peace First will equip Ambassadors with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to make a positive impact on society. Core principles and practices that Ambassadors will learn during your training include: Leadership and Advocacy, Empathy and Cultural Competence, Systems Thinking, Impact Measurement, and more.  As a Peace First Ambassador, you will:

  • Get the chance to join a global Community of Practice, collaborating with other Ambassadors who will become a critical source of support, guidance, feedback, and friendship during your leadership and changemaking journey.
  • Deepen your understanding of the key pillars of changemaking and integrate them into your own leadership activities through the Peace First training curriculum that includes: curated Masterclasses, learning from subject matter experts from around the world, and personalized mentorship and coaching.
  • Receive a personalized and customized Changemaker Professional Development Plan that allows you to understand your long-term changemaking goals, identify your associated learning and professional development needs and find resources for additional support.
  • At the end of the Specialization Track, you  will be certified and put your skills into practice to support the Peace First offerings through your preferred specializations and receive a stipend.

The Ambassador Program will include two tracks:

  1. Learning Track: Ambassadors will complete a curriculum-based training and mentorship program to help them identify and accelerate their Professional Development goals. All Ambassadors will be required to participate in the Learning Track.
  2. Specialization Track: Ambassadors will also be eligible to apply for additional certification through the Specialization Track. Ambassadors will work directly with Peace First to specialize within a Program Area and play a key role in supporting young changemakers around the world. Specialization options include:
    1.  Impact Training Facilitator
    2.  Hackathon Facilitator
    3.  Changemaker Coach

At the end of the Specialization Track, Ambassadors will be certified and put their skills into practice to support the Peace First offerings through their preferred specializations and receive a stipend.
