Initial Problem Statement
Violence and discrimination against LGBTQ people in schools appears to be a widespread problem in the world.
Studies have shown that this prejudice and bullying adds an additional layer of risk on top of other psychological factors which can lead to depression, anxiety and suicide.
‘We’re all equal in the end’ project aims to promote respect and implement tolerance in the classroom by demonstrating empathy and compassion through words and actions.

Hi Marie Belle, thanks for sharing your project and the video! We are very glad to see projects from Lebanon. Is this project part of organization or initiative?

As part of the process of completing peacemaking projects, Peace First staff give formal feedback on important steps of the project. One of those steps is the compassionate insight.

The injustice that you are trying to solve is very clear, however, it would be great if you could please clarify your solution "Standing up to bullying and hate"; what will be your approach on doing that?
I would encourage you to work a little bit around the root causes of the issue and the solution. We would encourage everyone who is at this stage of their project to work towards deepening their understanding of the injustice they are focusing on. It would be great to talk to other people in your community and try to understand their perspective of it or other people who are trying to solve the same justice or/and people who are already working to solve this injustice.

Something that would be helpful in discovering the root causes and consequences of your chosen injustice is to use the problem and solution tree to discover the root causes and it will guide you to more solutions. Here are some resources on how to do that: https://www.peacefirst.org/understand-through-compassion

Please let us know how can we help you :)

Dear Marie Belle,

Thanks for continue working on your project and for your willingness to create positive change in your community.

I am here to support you during this learning journey - would you mind updating your compassionate insight based on the previous feedback provided? I would appreciate it if you could submit your plan by May 19.

All that you need is to re-write your compassionate insight according to the following structure:
To solve this injustice of .... (Here you need to write the problem that you want to solve in your community)
We will address... (Here you need to write the main reason that causes this problem)
By.... (Here you need to write the solution that you want to implement on the ground)

Please let me know how can I help you.

I look forward to supporting you so you can benefit from our future opportunities :)

Many thanks,
Amani
