The newest Channel Kindness Award winner comes from Salt Lake City. Meet Savannah, a young woman from the city who bravely came out to her Mormon congregation and, despite not being allowed to finish her testimony, found the power in the experience to bring kindness to others.

“I try to look for the positive aspects, rather than the negative ones."

Savannah's project is distributing care packages for homeless LGBTQ youth in the area; and on Thursday, she was joined by two dozen volunteers who helped package blankets, socks, toiletries and other items to be delivered to Youth Futures.
