CADENA CHI CAWEEX
A Peacemaking Project by Mayra V.
What is the injustice we are solving?
CADENA CHI CAWEEX, that in Ticuna language it means breaking chains, is a youth organization in the Amazonia of Peru. WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT WE CAN BE PART OF THE SOLUTION TO ELIMINATE HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN IQUITOS - PERU. Because as young people we understand that we can contribute with big changes in our society and break the chains of slavery, because human trafficking is the modern slavery and humans deserve respect, dignity and Human rights!

We would encourage everyone who is at this stage of their project to work towards deepening their understanding of the injustice they are focusing on. It would be great to talk to other people in your community and try to understand their perspective of Human Trafficking or other people who are trying to solve the same justice or/and people who are already working to solve this injustice.
Also, use the problem and solution tree to discover the root causes and consequences of your chosen injustice and it will guide you to more solutions. Here are some resources on how to do that: https://www.peacefirst.org/understand-through-compassion
Please let us know how can we help.

As organization CADENA CHI CAWEEX, we did our first activity of the year to raise awareness about seduction through social networks as a form of kidnapping in human trafficking.
We had the participation of the boss from police station about human trafficking and the CEO from an NGO that works to prevent this issue.
You can check the photos here:
