A Peacemaking Project by Sally S.
What is the injustice we are solving?
“They say your life is meaningless if you didn’t leave something you will be reminded of after you leave ,, and to me it’s not measured by how successful or fast you are but by how big your goals is and by how many time life put you down and you didn’t give up. I’m a dental student studying at a hospital named elkasr elainy where we aim the poor people and treat them for free ,, beautiful isn’t it? But actually the patients come to us not because we are the best but because they don’t have money to seek big hospitals , and the problem is the bad organization system in this hospital I’ve met a patient that must have a root canal treatment urgently and the appointment they gave to her in November 2018! In other words this patient has to extract her tooth and it’s more complicated in other specialties as the patient has to lose his life .. so the main causes that lead to this problem is the poor communication in this hospital as the patient’s diagnosis and chief complaint is written in a paper given to the secretary of each department and the students come to take any number of papers they want and when they find the case they want they throw the rest ( not all of them) but there’s no supervision on them. So my project is aiming the dental students in kasrelainyy hospital as through this application they will find the cases according there requirements but they have to register the case by their names and identities till they finish treatment or they cancel it to give the chance for other students and there’ll be section for emergencies as jaw tumors and painful conditions ,,, applying this idea in dentistry where I have experience and relations with doctors as well low risks in dental field in comparison to other medical fields will make be capable of applying it hoping at the end to reach to all other fields”

Do you mean by "Gaat saleema" جت سليمه? I am just trying to understand how this name related to the project content :)
My understanding of what you have shared here is that you want to systemize or create a system where you can archive all the cases, and make it accessible in the hospital, right?
I would encourage you to write your compassionate insight of this project and try to make your insight as clear as you can, so that other Peace First members would understand it better! You can use the compassionate tool here: https://www.peacefirst.org/resource/understand-4-compassionate-insight, which will help you in writing your compassionate insight.
We would also encourage everyone who is at this stage of their project to work towards deepening their understanding of the injustice they're focusing on. Thus, it would be great to use the problem and solution tree to discover the root causes and consequences of your chosen injustice and it will guide you to more solutions. Here is the resource on how to do that: https://www.peacefirst.org/resource/understand-2-problem-and-solution-trees
It would be also great if you use our resources here: https://www.peacefirst.org/understand-through-compassion
You would need to get started now so you can apply for a mini-grant. Thanks again for sharing your project with Peace First members, and we are looking forward to your next steps of the project!
Please let us know if you need any help with this!
