Wildcats with Wands sparked excitement for the bracelets through the promotion of an event called the "Color Run" in which we partnered with the Chick-fil-a Leaders club and Arundel's Leadership class. Unfortunately, the event had to be postponed due to a miscommunication between our advisors and administration. Fortunately, the student body--and associated school community--was still aware and open to our Down with the Dursleys project and campaign; thus, the distribution of bracelets was a success!
Thanks for sharing this update (and such great pics)! It looks like you were able to make the best of the Color Run being postponed, and it's cool to see so many students participating. Any pro tips for other young peacemakers based on what you learned? I would also love to hear more about how you paired distributing the bracelets with teaching/spreading awareness about the issue. Sounds like you're doing awesome work in your community. (:
