Challenge Application Question

My student council students applied for the challenge grant through an account that I (community school director) created - is this okay?

Hi Natasha, thanks for reaching out with this question. As you know, we support youth-led projects for 13-24 year olds, but many young people on the platform are working with adult mentors like you and that's absolutely fine. Our preference would be that the young people who are participating in the project would also create an account if they are able to do so-- you can collaborate with them on the project that you've created in the platform. (Note: if anyone in the group is under 13, they will not be able to join the online platform.) You can invite them via e-mail by visiting your project page dashboard and clicking on the "add team members." Once they join, they should also be able to edit the project. It looks like your next step is to work with the group to develop their compassionate insight. Once they have developed the compassionate insight and project plan, anyone who is added to the project can submit those as well as the mini-grant application itself through the dashboard.

Check out our Understand and Plan tools (https://www.peacefirst.org/peacemaking-tools) and corresponding tools in the Facilitator guide (https://www.peacefirst.org/resource/facilitator-manual) that can help the group through the process.

One more thing -- when they join the project they will be able to make edits, but will not see the link to the project dashboard from their accounts -- so please share the link directly with them: https://www.peacefirst.org/projects/staywoke/dashboard
