Hi! Your project idea is well done and I’m very excited to see what you do with it. I think that the summer course is a really important effort to create a community of STEM girls all over the world. Is there a way that you can take this virtual program and make sure that there is a sense of community?

You might be able to create an online presence before you launch your summer program. You can start in your community, maybe have a fair or a facebook group encouraging young women and students to participate in a blog that focuses on the importance of women in STEM and their experiences. With this blog, you will be able to build a foundation of women who are interested in your program, or might know people to be interested. I think that the blog could be a chance to elevate the key reasons why it is so important for women to feel empowered or comfortable pursuing a career in STEM, and why so often, they do not. This blog can explain the root causes of your challenge and open the conversation up to interested peers. Here is a tool that might help you develop your idea!

Some additional questions:

You talk about providing mentors for the students. Do you need assistance finding mentors for this process?
Do you need help/have a plan for advertising this summer program in order to get students from all over the globe?

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!
