Hi! I'm Danielle, I'm supporting the Peace First team. This is great that you're helping your fellow students connect with these issues! Do you know why it's been difficult for students to get involved - lack of opportunity, information, time, etc.? Peace First has some great Understand tools that might help you dig further into what's at the heart of the challenge so you can design your solution to best respond to it. I love the idea of a social justice week as a way to begin connecting students to opportunities. Have you spoken with community groups around your campus to see what efforts are underway and how students might engage and help? And is there a way to keep students engaged after the week? Maybe you can build a team of allies across campus and beyond - student groups, faculty, community organizations, etc. - to help organize for the week and afterwards.
Hi, just checking in. How are things going? Have you been able to use the tools at all or make progress on finding the right partners and allies to help you implement your idea? Also, you might be interested in the work of Peace First Fellow Justin. He had a slightly different purpose, but has pulled together a similar community event.
