Peace First friend, Maxwell Surprenant, was at the Massachusetts State House in Boston to cover, for Scholastic News, the recent protest fighting against the child separations at the border. He spoke with the young people at the protest to find out why they were there and what they wanted to see done.

“It’s important that we make our voices heard. If we all just stand by, nothing is going to change. We’re talking about the most vulnerable people—kids. It says on the Statue of Liberty that we’re supposed to welcome them.”
