My Story For Peace

This is a short 2-minutes Video I did during the build-up campaign to the 2015 general elections in Nigeria to counter the hate speeches and mounting violence threats that characterized the electioneering period.

This Short video depict the resilience spirit of a young Nigerian who choses FORGIVENESS over REVENGE and PEACE over VIOLENCE despite his travail and gory experience of watching helplessly how his mother, brother and sister were killed during a religious crisis in Bauchi state Nigeria West Africa on Monday 20th February, 2006. #PeaceIsPossibleInNigeria #Forgiveness #Love #Tolerance #Resilience #Peace

Hi Tim,

Thank you for sharing your story. Your resilience and power of healing are so impressive and your story is so inspiring. What you have done is not easy. Many people resort to violence and revenge, but you turn a terrible experience into forgiveness, hope, and love.

Here, at Peace First, we work to create a word in which forgiveness, peace, and reconciliation prevail. As an adult, there are ways you can get involved in our work and with creating positive change. Here is how you can do it:
1. Do you know any youth who want to take action on an issue in their community? We’d love to equip them with the tools they need for change leadership. Please encourage any young people to create an account here
2. If the young people want to participate in the challenges we offer, then we can support their peacemaking project with a $250 mini-grant and personalized mentorship. They can start a project here
3. Would like to mentor young people? If you’re interested in becoming a mentor who will support specific projects, check out the Mentor Position Description and fill out the Mentor Interest Form here

Please let me know if you have questions and once again, thank you for sharing your story.

Thank You Andrea for the encouraging words.
It is my pleasure to let you know that I have since submitted my application for the mentoring program.

I would be glad to partner your organization on issues such as promoting peace in communities and I would be willing to introduce young change makers to benefit from your support while also impacting their communities positively.
