Bonnie Benjamin-Phariss has been named to the newly created role of Chief Strategic Engagement Officer at Peace First, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to galvanizing a global movement of young people to counteract the culture of violence, intolerance, and hatred that plagues too many communities around the world.
As part of Peace First’s global scale strategy, Benjamin-Phariss will oversee the engagement of corporate, philanthropic, and individual partners to work together to meet the incredible demand from young people to join this youth-led movement for global change. She will report directly to Peace First Co-Founder and CEO, Eric Dawson. “Building collaborative partnerships across public and private sectors is an essential strategy for scaling globally, and we are thrilled Bonnie has joined us to lead this work. With her passion for young people and her impressive experience creating campaigns and movements that continue to positively impact critical issues facing us today, Bonnie is an ideal fit to ensure our young people get the support and resources they need to compassionately change the world.”

Before joining Peace First, Benjamin-Phariss was an award-winning production executive with a track-record of using storytelling to change opinion and inspire action. Bonnie has vast experience bringing public and private sections together to build and implement campaigns - all in the service of amplifying shared value, driving impact, and contributing to a more equitable world. She has built campaigns for a wide range of issues, from educating girls in the developing world, global health, environmental stewardship, to the promise and perils of Big Data, destigmatizing nuclear power, and supporting veterans and their families. Bonnie ran Vulcan Production’s documentary division - the independent media company founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen - noted for telling powerful stories to help audiences understand the world around them, respond to challenges, and bring about lasting change. Prior to Vulcan, Bonnie oversaw programs and operations at the Disney Institute in Orlando, Florida. She began her career at WNET in New York.
