In Skills to Succeed we want to help young Tunisian men and women to have a job, develop their skills and become engines for a more inclusive and sustainable development.
In the wake of the Tunisian revolution, Tataouine governorate has notably become known for holding the highest rate of unemployment. The local labor market continued to suffer from many structural and functional constraints aggravated by the absence of development projects, a faltering development wheel and the disruption of investments. Unemployment rates in Tataouine reached 38% and were largely concentrated among high education graduates, with various statistics indicating that about 50% of them are unemployed.
In this context, Skills to Succeed was initiated as a community development project aiming at improving the employability of youth and contributing to the development of economic life in the region.
